Male Waxing London is an appointment-only studio run by a single specialist, José Wilker, who has worked this way since 2015. Every booking is a dedicated one-to-one slot held just for you. Because there is only one therapist and one client at a time, a missed or last-minute appointment cannot be filled by someone else — so a little notice makes a real difference to a one-man studio. This page explains how cancelling, rescheduling and running late are handled, so there are no surprises either way.
How to cancel or reschedule
The simplest way is to message José directly on 07585 720677, or use the booking page to move your appointment. A quick message is always fine — you do not need to explain why.
How much notice to give
Please give at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or move your appointment. That usually gives enough notice to reopen the slot. Life happens and genuine emergencies are understood — the request is simply that you let José know as early as you can rather than leaving a slot empty.
Deposits
No deposit is required to book. You reserve your appointment and pay in full on the day, by cash or bank transfer.
Running late
If you are running late, send a quick message. A short delay is usually fine, but arriving more than about 15 minutes late may mean the treatment has to be shortened to fit the remaining time, or moved to another day, so that the next client is not affected.
If you are unwell
If you are feeling unwell, please reschedule rather than attending. Waxing is best done on healthy skin, and rescheduling protects both you and the studio. There is no penalty for cancelling because you are ill — just let José know.
Repeated missed appointments
The studio runs on trust and a single set of hands. Occasional changes are never a problem, but repeated no-shows without notice may mean a deposit is asked for on future bookings, simply to protect time that could have gone to another client.
Why the policy is kept light
A one-man, appointment-only studio works differently from a busy salon with a full diary and walk-ins: when a single therapist holds one slot for one client, a no-show is time that simply goes to waste rather than being absorbed by the rest of a team. That is the whole reason the notice request exists — not to catch anyone out, but so that a slot you cannot use can go to someone who can.
